Sunday Gospel This Month…

Have you ever wished you could participate in a gospel performance where the rhythm is rocking, the organ is wailing and the singing is full of soulfulness and sincerity? That’s what you’ll get on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2:00 p.m. at Hugh’s Room. George Olliver and Jeremiah Sparks will join me, Ken Whiteley, in leading the singing with the superb support of Lance Anderson on Hammond organ, Bucky Berger on drums and Ben Whiteley on bass. Contact Hugh’s Room to make reservations and purchase tickets.

I’m looking forward to sharing some songs and a few stories with my friend and one of my biggest supporters Drew Marshall, this Saturday, Nov. 28th. Drew hosts Canada’s most listened to spiritual talk show which can be heard live online from 1pm to 5pm at drewmarshall.ca.

Please vote…

PLEASE VOTE TODAY! On Oct. 5th I was honoured to be asked to stand on the stage with a bunch of my fellow musicians, actors and writers while Tom Mulcair announced the NDP’s robust “Support for the Arts” platform which includes (among other things) restoring lost CBC funding, support for Telefilm, the NFB and income averaging for artists, which would be great for those welcome years when you happen to make more money than usual. My only disappointment was that with this announcement, in this room full of artists, the press did not ask a single question about the new arts platform. Unknowingly I created a bit of a stir on BuzzFeed. Here’s me in my now, somewhat famous outfit, proudly wearing my Jennifer Hollett NDP button. Don’t forget to VOTE!!!
