New band! New music! New signing!… Ken Whiteley and the Beulah Band (Frank Evans, Rosalyn Dennett and co-producer Ben Whiteley) are creating and recording exciting new music that is deeply rooted in traditional North American folk forms. You’ll hear echoes of blues, gospel, swing, string and jug band sounds. They can’t wait to take their show on the road and they’re very excited to have joined the roster at AIM Artists in Motion Booking Agency.

In the studio… Early next week Ken will be mastering the new Ken Whiteley and the Beulah Band CD with Harris Newman at Grey Market Mastering in Montreal.

In concert.. For our friends in in southwestern Ontario, Ken and bassist George Koller will be playing at the inagural Kingsville Folk Music Festival on August 9 & 10. Ken travels stateside for Jesse Palidofsky‘s CD release concert on September 12 at Carroll Cafe in Washington, DC. He’ll be returning to the States to join Kim and Reggie Harris for concerts on October 17 at the Carroll Cafe and October 18 at Old Songs in Voorheesville, NY. On October 19, Ken will host the first gospel brunch at the 13th Annual Canal Bank Shuffle Blues Festival in Thorold, ON. Kim and Reggie will be Ken’s special guests at the gospel brunch, which is being held at the Four Points Sheraton.

Colborne show….

ON STAGE.. Ken is delighted to be performing for the children and families of the The Cramahe Township Public Library on Tuesday, July 29th at 11:30 a.m. in the town square.

Source of the Song & Dollar Bills…

CONCERTS… TONIGHT! (May 24th) Join Ken, host/presener Bruce Madole and Celtic-influenced singer/songwriter Grainne Ryan this afternoon starting at 2 p.m. at the Glen WIlliams Town Hall. The Source of the Song is an acoustic songwriters concert series in the hamlet of Glen Williams, which is part of Halton Hills, on the northern edge of Georgetown. Tickets $20. at the door.

TOMORROW! (May 25th) The Whiteley Brothers band performance at the “Live from Dollar Bill’s” CD release and hospital fundraiser in Kingston. On June 8th The Neighbourhood Unitarian Universalist Congregationpresents Ken in concert at 2 p.m. And for our friends in in southwestern Ontario, Ken and bassist George Koller will be at the inagural Kingsville Folk Music Festival on August 9 & 10.
