CONCERT NEWS… Celebrate Labor Day Weekend with Ken at the beautiful Sivananda Ashram Yoga Ranch at the foot of the Catskill Mountains in Woodbourne, NY. Ken offers “Opening our Voice, Opening our Heart” workshops at 12noon on both Saturday and Sunday (August 31 & Sept. 1). Ken will be heading back to the Prairie Day Festivalat the Alderville Black Oak Savanna Ecology Centre for a second year in a row (September 7). Bring your youngsters and oldsters. This is a fun day for all ages.

CONCERT NEWS… Check Ken out at the Festival of Friends in Hamilton (August 11). He’ll be on the Spectacle Stage at 3pm and the Alumni Stage at 5pm. Mark your calendars for Ken’s visit back to the Prairie Day Festival at the Alderville Black Oak Savanna Ecology Centre (September 7). This is a fun day for all ages. He’ll also be at the Bloor Ossington Folk Festival in Toronto (September 22).

CONCERT NEWS… This Saturday and Sunday Ken, The Levy Sisters, Ben Whiteley and Brad Hart celebrate the 40th anniversary Blue Skies Music Festival in Clarendon, Ontario (August 3 & 4). Ken will host the “Remembering Jackie Washington workshop” along with a Sunday gospel workshop and much more.

CONCERT NEWS… TODAY @ 2PM! Ken stops in at the Yoga and Music Festival in Val Morin, Quebec to offer a gospel music workshop (August 2). Then on Saturday and Sunday Ken joins The Levy Sisters at the 40th anniversary Blue Skies Music Festival in Clarendon, Ontario (August 3 & 4).

This week Ken is teaching “Playing the Blues: what makes it sound real? Intro to Slide Guitar and Fingerstyle Basics” at the Ashokan Guitar Camp in the Catskills, NY (July 28- August 1). Alsoteaching at the camp are Molly Mason, Mark Mazengarb, Matt Munisteri, Scott Nygaard and Andrew Vanoorstrand. Following the guitar camp, Ken stops in at the Yoga and Music Festival in Val Morin, Quebec to offer a gospel music workshop at 2pm on Friday (August 2). Then on Saturday and Sunday Ken joins The Levy Sisters at the 40th anniversary Blue Skies Music Festival in Clarendon, Ontario (August 3 & 4).

FESTIVAL NEWS… THIS WEEKEND! Ken can’t wait to get back to the 40th anniversary London Home County Festival (July 20-21).The remarkable bassist George Koller and the beautiful songstress Tannis Slimmon and Jane Lewis will join Ken on the mainstage at 8:40pm on the Sunday. Ken also has workshops scheduled for 3pm on Saturday and 1:30pm Sunday. Home County festival is free admission.

TERRIFIC TUESDAYS are for the KIDS! The Cramahe Township Public Librarypresents Ken in concert at 2pm at the Victoria Park Square (July 23). Be sure to bring your children out to this one! Ken will be looking forvolunteers to join his band. Musical fun for all ages.

FESTIVAL NEWS… THIS WEEKEND! Ken and The Levy Sisters will be performing at the 40th anniversary Winnipeg Folk Festival (July 12-14). Here’s their schedule for the weekend. Saturday: concert 11am @ Snowberry stage, “1974”workshop 4pm @ Bur Oak stage, Music Store Tent meet & greet @ 3pm. Sunday: morning gospel “Waiting for a Miracle” workshop 11am @ Big Bluestem stage.

CONCERT NEWS… THIS SUNDAY @ 7pm! Ken and The Levy Sisters will be performing at the Ancaster Music at Fieldcote with Treasa Levasseur (July 7). Remember to bring your lawn chairs or blanket for this free outdoor concert.
