Join Ken at the Bloor Hot Docs Cinema (506 Bloor St W) on Tuesday, March 31st for the showing of the film “This Ain’t No Mouse Music”. Roots music icon Chris Strachwitz, founder of Arhoolie Records, has fought back against corporate “mouse music” since 1960. This Ain’t No Mouse Music follows Strachwitz from Texas to New Orleans, Cajun country, and Appalachia, on his passionate quest to find the musical soul of America.There will be a post-screening Q&A and short performance by Ken Whiteley, moderated by Mervon Mehta, The Royal Conservatory of Music’s Executive Director of Performing Arts.
