For those of you not familiar with “Sacred Steel”, it is one of the mostexciting musical forms on the planet and Chuck Campbell is one ofits greatest exponents. Ken first met the award winning pedal steel guitarist on a Memphis elevator. Even before he heard the African-American Sacred Steel Superstar band The Campbell Brothers perform, Ken sensed that here were musicians he’d love to make music with. The next day after he heard them play, the deal was sealed. Chuck has since played on 2 of Ken’s cds – Listening and Another Day’s Journey. With the Campbell Brothers, Chuck has been featured from Toronto’s Luminato, the Hummingbird Centre and Dundas Square to New York’s Kennedy Centre to LA’s Hollywood Bowl. The last time Chuck appeared on Ken’s Sunday Gospel Brunch, it was standing room only so we suggest you get your tickets early. This is uplifting blues for anyone who wants to diga little deeper. We hope you also enjoy the first three music videos “Bring It All Right Down” and “Omar Khadr’s Blues” from the Freedom Blues CD release concert in Toronto.
