FESTIVAL NEWS… THIS WEEKEND! Ken can’t wait to get back to the 40th anniversary London Home County Festival (July 20-21).The remarkable bassist George Koller and the beautiful songstress Tannis Slimmon and Jane Lewis will join Ken on the mainstage at 8:40pm on the Sunday. Ken also has workshops scheduled for 3pm on Saturday and 1:30pm Sunday. Home County festival is free admission.

TERRIFIC TUESDAYS are for the KIDS! The Cramahe Township Public Librarypresents Ken in concert at 2pm at the Victoria Park Square (July 23). Be sure to bring your children out to this one! Ken will be looking forvolunteers to join his band. Musical fun for all ages.

FESTIVAL NEWS… THIS WEEKEND! Ken and The Levy Sisters will be performing at the 40th anniversary Winnipeg Folk Festival (July 12-14). Here’s their schedule for the weekend. Saturday: concert 11am @ Snowberry stage, “1974”workshop 4pm @ Bur Oak stage, Music Store Tent meet & greet @ 3pm. Sunday: morning gospel “Waiting for a Miracle” workshop 11am @ Big Bluestem stage.

CONCERT NEWS… THIS SUNDAY @ 7pm! Ken and The Levy Sisters will be performing at the Ancaster Music at Fieldcote with Treasa Levasseur (July 7). Remember to bring your lawn chairs or blanket for this free outdoor concert.

CONCERT NEWS… GOSPEL SUNDAY @ 12 Noon in ORILLIA! Ken and The Levy Sisters will be performing at the Orillia Spring Blues Festival with Lance Anderson on Hammond organ, drummer Bucky Berger and bassist Ben Whiteley (June 9). Tickets for all the Sunday shows (including Ken’s) are $10. and available at the gate.

CONCERT NEWS… THIS WEDNESDAY in NEW HAMBURG! May 29 Ken and The Levy Sisters will be performing at the New Hamburg Live! Festival Gala & Silent Auction with pianist Charlene Nafziger, bassist Ben Whiteley & drummer Bucky Berger.

CONCERT NEWS… This Saturday! Ken will be joining Gary Kendall and The Mighty Duck Blues Band for a Saturday matinee show at the Duck in St. Catharines (May 11). This Sunday! Ken, son Ben and fiddle virtuoso John Showman will perform a bluegrassy version of David Wall’s commissioned composition for the Sporting Life 10K Run for Kids with Cancer in Toronto (May 12). Their stage location is on Yonge Street at Merton, just south of the bridge.

CONCERT NEWS… This Friday! Ken will be performing with Olenka Krakus at the Art Gallery of Hamilton Design Annex (May 3).

CONCERT NEWS… This week! Ken is heading off to Pennsylvania and Maryland with house concerts in Pittsburgh (April 26) and Laurel (April 27).

GOSPEL NEWS… THIS SUNDAY @ Hugh’s Room! It’s the last 10th anniversary Sunday gospel music brunch until October. Series favourites Kim and Reggie Harris will be driving up from New York. Ken also welcomes Toronto Jazz songstress Dione Taylor, jazz guitarist Tristan Clark and back by popular demand, Toronto’s deepest bass vocalist Pat Patrick. And of course the inimitable Ben Whiteley (NewCountry Rehab) will be holding down the bottom end with his big string bass. Tickets and lunch reservations from Hugh’s Room (416) 531-6604. CONCERT NEWS… Ken will be celebrating Easter at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Camp (March 30 & 31). He’ll also be giving a concert after the Saturday evening sastang. Eveyone is welcome to attend.
