40th Home County Festival…

FESTIVAL NEWS… THIS WEEKEND! Ken can’t wait to get back to the 40th anniversary London Home County Festival (July 20-21).The remarkable bassist George Koller and the beautiful songstress Tannis Slimmon and Jane Lewis will join Ken on the mainstage at 8:40pm on the Sunday. Ken also has workshops scheduled for 3pm on Saturday and 1:30pm Sunday. Home County festival is free admission.

TERRIFIC TUESDAYS are for the KIDS! The Cramahe Township Public Librarypresents Ken in concert at 2pm at the Victoria Park Square (July 23). Be sure to bring your children out to this one! Ken will be looking forvolunteers to join his band. Musical fun for all ages.

40th Winnipeg Folk Festival…

FESTIVAL NEWS… THIS WEEKEND! Ken and The Levy Sisters will be performing at the 40th anniversary Winnipeg Folk Festival (July 12-14). Here’s their schedule for the weekend. Saturday: concert 11am @ Snowberry stage, “1974”workshop 4pm @ Bur Oak stage, Music Store Tent meet & greet @ 3pm. Sunday: morning gospel “Waiting for a Miracle” workshop 11am @ Big Bluestem stage.

Mighty Duck Blues Band & The Run for Kids with Cancer…

CONCERT NEWS… This Saturday! Ken will be joining Gary Kendall and The Mighty Duck Blues Band for a Saturday matinee show at the Duck in St. Catharines (May 11). This Sunday! Ken, son Ben and fiddle virtuoso John Showman will perform a bluegrassy version of David Wall’s commissioned composition for the Sporting Life 10K Run for Kids with Cancer in Toronto (May 12). Their stage location is on Yonge Street at Merton, just south of the bridge.

Gospel Brunch @ Hugh’s Room…

GOSPEL NEWS… THIS SUNDAY @ Hugh’s Room! It’s the last 10th anniversary Sunday gospel music brunch until October. Series favourites Kim and Reggie Harris will be driving up from New York. Ken also welcomes Toronto Jazz songstress Dione Taylor, jazz guitarist Tristan Clark and back by popular demand, Toronto’s deepest bass vocalist Pat Patrick.
