This Sunday’s Gospel All Stars…

THIS SUNDAY in TORONTO! Ken’s Sunday Gospel All Stars…

I’ve hosted gospel workshops/concerts at folk festivals since the mid 1970‘s. In the winter of 2002-03 I decided to do 3 shows based around this popular, round robin format. I planned to use this series to record what would become the cd “Gospel Music Makes Me Feel Alright!”. Now we are in our 12th year at Hugh’s Room and every one has a been a unique and wonderful event.

Singing and playing for you on Feb. 23 are who I consider my “Gospel Sundays All Stars”. Singing sisters Amoy Levy and Ciceal Levy, bass singer Pat Patrick and rhythm section Ben Whiteley and Bucky Bergerhavebeen the core of my “go to” group for many years. The more we make music together, the more in tune with each other we become. We have hadour rehearsal for this event and I guarantee you will hear something new, something familiar and it will make you “feel alright!”.

Primary to these events is the experience of being able to share in an uplifting experience. People comment that “I always feel better after one of these shows!” Consider coming to hear some people that you may not be as familiar with. If you can, bring someone new who has never been to one. I count on you to help spread the word. Thanks for helping to encourage me to continue doing this. ~ Ken
