Description
The original concept for this record was to make a studio album, a live album, and a live in the studio album. We recorded a number of tunes with Blind John Davis at the piano including two songs he played on many years ago. Two nights at the Horseshoe Tavern on Queen Street in Toronto were recorded on sixteen big tracks. Jan. 26 coincided with one of the worst storms of the winter. The remaining three tunes were executed with the assistance of Daniel Lanois back at Grant Avenue Studios, where we finished mixing and editing at 2:30 a.m. on May 11, 1978.
